Before the Maya carafe takes form, the work begins with salvaged glass: labels peeled, bottles scrubbed, sorted by hand. Then comes the heat — molten glass is mouth-blown and shaped over fire, as seen in the photo. The handle and spout are applied while still glowing hot. Every ripple, bubble, and slightly uneven base is a sign of true craftsmanship — not flaw, but fingerprint.
